Vision and mission

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life campaign with a vision to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil to end abortion in America.

The mission of the campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40 day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion in America.

Dates: September 24 through November 2, 2008

What You Pray and fast at home, pray in your church, pray at work

Can Do: You are encouraged to pray each week at a time convenient to you on or near the sidewalk in front of the Planned Parenthood abortuary (1927 Columbus Avenue) with members of your family, church community or other groups

Why? -More than 1,200,000 innocent children are killed by abortion each year

-Millions of women have been wounded by abortion

-Planned Parenthood, the nation’s leading promoter and provider of abortion, took in over $305,000,000 of taxpayer money last year

-Activist judges force their personal abortion agenda on America

-The coming presidential election will be crucial for the make-up of

the Supreme Court.

-The media is overwhelmingly pro-abortion and provides biased misinformation

-Many churches are indifferent or silent on the abortion issue

-Over 1800 abortion facilities operate with little or no opposition

-Nearly 1,200 abortions were committed in 2007 by Planned Parenthood Waco.

-The battle for life will not be won if we are indifferent
